USMNT revela los jerseys que usará en Qatar 2022

The head coach of the United States men’s national team Gregg Berhalter held a practice on Tuesday with the 26-players he called up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup for the first time ahead of their first game against Wales. The last ones to arrive at the training camp were Weston McKennie and Antonee Robinson.

The United States will make their debut against the Dragons on November 21 at Al Rayyan stadium and it is time for the golden generation to step it up in the biggest stage. Ahead of their first World Cup match in eight years, the USMNT assigned the jersey numbers each player will be wearing during the tournament.

The USMNT’s jersey numbers

Goalkeepers: Matt Turner (1), Ethan Horvath (12), Sean Johnson (25)

Defenders: Walker Zimmerman (3), Tim Ream (13), Aaron Long (15), Cameron Carter-Vickers (20), Sergiño Dest (2), Antonee Robinson (5), Shaquell Moore (18), DeAndre Yedlin (22), Joe Scaly (26)

Midfielders: Tyler Adams (4), Yunus Musah (6), Weston McKennie (8), Brenden Aaronson (11), Luca de la Torre (14), Cristian Roldán (17), Kellyn Acosta (23)

Strikers: Gio Reyna (7), Christian Pulisic (10), Jordan Morris (16, Tim Weah (21), Jesús Ferreira (9), Haji Wright (19), Josh Sargent (24)

Who will be the captain?

Since Gregg Berhalter took over the managerial job in 2018, he appointed goalkeeper Zack Steffen as the captain, but in his absence it is expected that Christian Pulisic wears the arm band during the World Cup. The second obvious option is Tyler Adams because he has been a vital player for the USMNT during the entire World Cup process.
