Tigres’ Gignac suffers thigh injury: how long will he be out for?
André-Pierre Gignac faces a spell on the sidelines after Tigres confirmed that the striker sustained a muscle injury in this week’s draw with Juárez.

Tigres striker André-Pierre Gignac has been ruled out with a muscle injury suffered in Tuesday’s 0-0 Liga MX draw with Juárez.
Tigres confirm Gignac thigh injury
In a statement on Wednesday, the club said: “Gignac has been diagnosed with a grade-one myofibrillar tear in his right thigh.”
Tigres did not specify how long the Frenchman will be sidelined for, explaining that the speed of his return will depend on how the injury progresses.
López also out with thigh problem
The 37-year-old joins an injury list that also includes Nicolás López, who sustained a thigh issue last week.
Gignac has scored five goals in seven appearances so far in the Liga MX’s Clausura 2023 tournament.
