USA set to face Mexico in the Concacaf Nations League Final Four
The final results from the Group A games saw Costa Rica fall to Panama and Canada win to complete the four teams who will play in Vegas in June.
The group stage of the CONCACAF Nations League came to an end on Tuesday, with the Group A League games determining the four teams that will play in the Final Four to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada between Thursday 15 and Sunday 18 June. A twist of fate in Costa Rica saw Panama win out and the 0-1 result sent Mexico to the finals as fourth seed where they will face top seed (of the four from qualifying) the United States in the first semi-final.
Following Mexico’s 2-2 draw with Jamaica in their final group game, the USWNT secured the win that sent them to the final four and as Panama failed to beat Costa Rica by a seven-goal margin the Canaleros are seeded as team No. 2. The US secured top seed with Mexico seeded as four with just eight points from the group stage.
Canada defeated Honduras 4-1 at BMO Field and will now face Panama as third seed in the other semi-final at Allegiant Stadium in ‘Sin City’ in June.
