USMNT legend Tim Howard elected to US National Soccer Hall of Fame
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Howard will go into the history books.
A US soccer legend will go down in history as one of the players who has managed to go into the US Soccer Hall of Fame.
On Saturday it was announced that former USMNT goalkeeper Tim Howard will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a May 6 induction ceremony in Frisco, Texas.
Howard’s extraordinary career with the USMNT, where he played in two World Cups (2010 and 2014), a Confederations Cup (2009), where he was chosen as Golden Glove, as well as his career in the Premier League with teams like Manchester United and Everton, sees him become a part of the great legends of US Soccer.
According to information from the AP Agency, Howard was elected on the ballot with 95.8% of the votes to enter the Hall of Fame and thus be inducted next May.
Online, the Colorado Rapids, USMNT and Premier League accounts congratulated Howard on his election to the Hall of Fame in 2024.
Legends inducted into the US Soccer Hall of Fame
It was recently announced that as part of the 2023 generation of the Hall of Fame, US soccer legends such as DaMarcus Beasley, Landon Donovan, Jill Ellis, Kate Markgraf, Hope Solo and now Tim Howard will be inducted.
These names will join soccer greats such as Clint Dempsey, Steve Cherundolo, Carlos Bocanegra, Abby Wambach, Brad Friedel, Don Garber, Sigi Schmid, Bob Bradley, Claudio Reyna, and more.
