WORLD CUP 2022

Wales vs England odds and predictions: Who is the favorite in the World Cup 2022 game?

It’s going to be a tough task for the Welsh who need to win just to have the hope of advancing, while their more illustrious neighbors know a draw will be enough.

Update:
Wales vs England odds and predictions: Who is the favorite in the World Cup 2022 game?
AS English

Now set to face their neighbors in the final game of the group, the three lions are heavily favored to get the win and advance, but stranger things have happened. Here’s a look at how it all breaks down.

England vs Wales: The Lay of the Land

Despite their positive position, England come into this one following a disappointing result against the U.S.A. with whom they drew 0-0. Indeed, the English will surely be looking to rekindle the sort of form that saw them thrash Iran 6-2 in their opener, when they face Wales in their final Group B match on Tuesday. Yet, it must be said they will have to be careful with Gareth Bale and the Welsh following their rather flat performance against the Americans who in fact dominated them for large portions of their match. On the other side of the divide, we’ve got Wales who also battled to draw against team USA, before going on to suffer a dramatic 2-0 late loss to Iran, which in turn has put their hopes of advancing in jeopardy. With that in mind, England are assured a spot in the next round with a win or draw, while the Welsh must win and then hope for favorable results in the match between Iran and the U.S.A.. Kickoff at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar is set for 2 p.m. ET. Don’t miss it!

England look to stay on course

Coming into the tournament, the English were counted as potential contenders. Needless to say, the 6-2 drubbing of Iran helped to solidify that image, but then they met the Americans and failed to score a single goal in a draw that they were at times lucky to maintain. With that said, England will surely be looking to the likes of Bukayo Saka once again, as it was he who led the charge against Iran. Mention should also be made of Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling who was a key contributor in the victory against Iran with a goal and an assist. Harry Kane of course, needs to introduction. If there’s one thing we’re almost certain to see in this one, it’s a more adventurous effort from the three lions who will be doing everything they can to avoid giving their neighbors something to cheer about.

Can the Welsh upset their neighbors?

To be frank, the Welsh have not looked convincing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Aside from struggling to score, they’ve also looked relatively mundane in their play and in truth were largely outplayed in the latter parts of their loss to Iran. On the other hand, there are some veterans in the side who continue to play well and one of them is most definitely Gareth Bale. The former Madrid man scored his country’s single goal so far and has played well in both games, however, they will need more than just their talisman. That’s where someone like Aaron Ramsey could come in. Now 31-years-old, Ramsey is a key cog in the Welsh machine and without doubt will be essential if they are to get anything out of their clash with England.

England vs Wales: The Prediction

Though we’re sure the Welsh are going to be more than fired up for this one, we’ve got the feeling that the ‘Three Lions’ will ultimately prove to be more than they can handle. While we don’t expect the match to be a one sided affair with Gareth Bale and Co. more than capable of playing decent football, we’re going with a 3-1 England win in this one.
