Wanted: a friend for CR7, lonely at Al Nassr
Talisca’s departure means Ronaldo needs a new partner up top in the Al Nassr attack.
With former Liverpool star Sadio Mané already on board, Al Nassr is now looking for a new partner to complement Cristiano Ronaldo following the confirmed departure of Anderson Talisca. On Monday, Talisca traveled to Istanbul to finalise his move to Fenerbahçe.
According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi club has identified Victor Boniface, a 24-year-old Nigerian striker, as their top target for the winter transfer window. A delegation from Al Nassr has reportedly traveled to Germany to open negotiations with both Boniface’s club, Bayer Leverkusen, and the player himself. The club is expected to make an initial offer for the talented forward in the coming days.

Leverkusen prepared to sell Boniface
German journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports reports that Bayer Leverkusen is open to discussing Boniface’s transfer but has set a price tag of no less than €50 million (approximately $54 million).
Boniface has had an impressive season so far, with eight goals and one assist in 15 appearances across all competitions. However, he has been sidelined since November 9, 2024, due to a thigh injury. In his absence, Czech striker Patrick Schick has stepped into the lineup.
Plan B: Jhon Jáder Durán
If a deal for Boniface falls through, Al Nassr has a backup plan: 21-year-old Colombian striker Jhon Jáder Durán, who currently plays for Aston Villa in the Premier League. However, according to Ben Jacobs of Givemesport, Aston Villa is demanding at least €100 million (approximately $108 million) to part ways with the promising South American talent.
