Which teams can still qualify for Liga MX Clausura 2026 Liguilla?
There are two matchdays left in the regular season and these are the teams that can still qualify for the Mexican soccer playoffs.

With just two matchdays remaining in the Clausura 2026 regular season, multiple teams remain in contention for the final three spots in Mexico’s Liga MX Liguilla.
América, Atlas, León, Tigres, Tijuana, Necaxa, Juárez and Querétaro are all still mathematically in the race for the final Liguilla spots.

América leads crowded mid-table battle
América currently sits sixth in the standings with 22 points. The club holds a slight edge over both Atlas and León thanks to a better goal difference, with all three teams directly competing against one another over the final two matchdays.
At a minimum, each of the three sides needs to win at least one of their remaining two matches. But in tha scenario, they would also need the other contenders around them to drop points in order to secure a place in the postseason.
Tigres just outside the top eight
Tigres are ninth in the table with 21 points, just one point behind the final playoff position. Their path remains straightforward but demanding.
They face Atlas in Matchday 16 before closing the regular season against Mazatlán, with every point critical in their push to break into the top eight.
Tijuana on the brink
Tijuana sit on 19 points, three shy of the Liguilla cutoff. The Xolos face a must-win scenario heading into Matchday 16 against Pachuca.
A loss would effectively end their chances of reaching the next round of the tournament.

Necaxa’s uphill battle
Necaxa have 17 points and are running out of margin for error. They likely need at least four points from their final two matches, while also requiring multiple teams above them to fail to win.
Even with strong results, their qualification depends heavily on other outcomes going their way.
Juárez and Querétaro need perfect finishes and favors
Juárez and Querétaro are both on 16 points and remain mathematically alive, but only just.
Both teams must win their final two matches and also rely on several clubs above them to lose both of their remaining games to have any realistic chance of reaching the Liguilla.
