Which teams will be in the 2023 Spanish Super Cup and when is it?
Following LaLiga matchday 37, we now know the four teams that will take part in the next edition of the Spanish Super Cup.

The line-up for the 2023 Spanish Super Cup is now set. Atlético Madrid’s draw with Sevilla on Sunday means Barcelona are guaranteed to finish second in LaLiga and have booked the final available spot in the Super Cup.
The tournament will again be played in January in Saudi Arabia, with Barça joined in the Middle East by LaLiga champions Real Madrid, Copa del Rey winners Real Betis and Copa runners-up Valencia.
Clásico final a possibility in 2023 Spanish Super Cup
According to Super Cup rules, the holders of the Copa del Rey take on the LaLiga runners-up in the semi-finals, while the league champions face the losing finalists from the Copa. Therefore, Betis will meet Barça in the last four, and Madrid will come up against Valencia.
That throws up the possibility of a Clásico in the final, a clash that is yet to occur since the Super Cup’s expansion to a four-team tournament.
Barça and Madrid have only met once so far in the revamped Super Cup, in this season’s semi-finals. Los Blancos beat the Blaugrana 3-2, before defeating Athletic Club in the final.

Betis set for bow in revamped Super Cup
This will be Valencia’s second appearance in the Super Cup ‘final four’, while Betis will be making their debut.
The Spanish Super Cup is currently scheduled to be played from 9 to 15 January 2023.
