Gignac’s reason for not celebrating
The former Marseille striker is said to be angry with a certain section of the Tigres supporters, who booed the team in the defeat against Mazatlan in the last matchday of the Clausura 2023 tournament.
Tigres, with Gignac in attack, will face Nicolás Larcamón’s León in the semi-finals of the tournament. LAFC, led by the experienced Carlos Vela, and Philadelphia Union, the club that eliminated Atlas, are in the other semi-final, with both clubs hoping to reach this year’s final.
