Will Casemiro join Manchester United?

Casemiro is getting closer to making a decision, with Man United making him their priority. The player has not yet spoken with Real Madrid.

The possible departure of Casemiro to Manchester United is entering decisive hours. At Old Trafford they are pressing to get an answer as soon as possible so that he could even play on Monday against Liverpool. The Brazilian’s silence is causing unease at Real Madrid and in England. AS understands that Madrid are preparing to say goodbye to the 30-year-old.

Madrid have not yet spoken with Casemiro, who has a firm proposal from United. Tomorrow morning will be the last training session before Los Blancos travel to Vigo and Carlo Ancelotti has to provide his matchday squad for the trip to Balaídos. It will be his first appearance before the media since United made a move for his player.

If Casemiro travels to Vigo and plays, he would risk missing out on the mega-contract that United have put on the table for him - a five-year deal, worth almost €100 million. The Brazilian and his coach will have to make a decision this Friday... but the midfielder’s ambiguity is also generating unease in the dressing room. Madrid are currently looking for midfield alternatives in case he leaves the club.

Meanwhile, in England there are more and more reports coming from United’s entourage, showing positive signs of progress. United want him for the game against Liverpool on Monday, even if he is in the stands, to quell the anger among the club’s fanbase.
