The United States will finally know its full group as one of these European teams will join Paraguay and Australia.
The United States is waiting on the final team to join Group D, with that last spot set to be decided Tuesday when Kosovo and Turkiye meet in the UEFA World Cup playoff.
Kosovo is coming off a 4-3 road win over Slovakia and now dreams of reaching its first World Cup, led by Mallorca striker Vedat Muriqi and Hoffenheim forward Fisnik Asllani.
Kosovo has not lost at home since September 2024, when it fell 3-0 to Romania. It also managed a home tie against Switzerland in the final round of UEFA World Cup qualifying.

Turkiye is the favorite to advance despite playing away from home. Led by Real Madrid’s Arda Güler and with standout players such as Juventus forward Kenan Yıldız and Fenerbahce’s Kerem Aktürkoğlu, the Turkish side is confident it can return to the World Cup.
Even so, Turkiye raised some concerns in its game against Romania, edging out a narrow home win. Now there is no margin for error, and it will need to show its best version if it wants to book its place at the World Cup.

Kosovo and Turkiye will face off at Pristina City Stadium for a place in the World Cup. The game will be played on Tuesday, March 31, at 2:45 p.m. ET, 1:45 p.m. CT and 11:45 a.m. PT.
