Liga MX World Cup: players from the Mexican league who will be in the United States, Mexico, and Canada

The 2026 Clausura tournament has come to an end, and attention has now shifted to the biggest event in world soccer: the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Mexico’s top division will have a strong presence at the tournament, with dozens of players from Liga MX clubs earning spots in their respective national team squads.

The list below reflects the official World Cup rosters submitted to FIFA in recent hours, as the deadline for final squad announcements arrived. With the opening game set for June 11, Liga MX will be represented by players from 13 clubs and spread across seven different national teams.

Among the clubs contributing talent are Chivas, Club América, Cruz Azul, Pumas, Santos Laguna, Toluca, Tijuana, Pachuca, Tigres, Atlas, Monterrey, FC Juárez, and León. There is also the unique case of Yoel Bárcenas, who previously played for the now-defunct Mazatlán franchise and is currently without a club.
