Miami bucks the trend over Hard Rock Stadium travel during World Cup 2026

With less than 45 days to go until the start of the World Cup, with Miami among the 16 host cities for this summer’s tournament, Miami-Dade County has announced an important measure aimed at benefiting thousands of fans expected to travel to the city for games at Hard Rock Stadium.

According to The Athletic, Miami will offer a free transportation service from different parts of the city to Hard Rock Stadium – known during the tournament as Miami Stadium – which will host seven World Cup games.

The shuttle option will be available to all fans who hold tickets for any of the seven games scheduled at the Miami venue this summer.

“Game day transit service to Miami Stadium in Miami Gardens will be free of charge, but reserved exclusively for verified ticket holders,” a spokesperson for Miami’s Department of Transportation and Public Works told The Athletic.

Miami’s Department of Transportation and Public Works also confirmed that the service for fans attending games at Hard Rock Stadium will operate from four strategic pickup points toward the stadium, home of the NFL’s Dolphins.

Those four locations will be the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Station, Brightline Aventura, Golden Glades and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel. Hundreds of fans will be picked up from those points on game days and returned there afterward. To board the special buses, users will have to verify that they do, in fact, have access to the games.
