Scotland at the 2026 World Cup: roster, list, players, group and schedule
Everything to know to follow the Tartan Army at the World Cup.

With the sound of bagpipes and the sight of kilts setting the tone, Scotland is ready to take on their second 2026 World Cup match against Morocco.
Who are Scotland’s players to watch?
Napoli’s Scott McTominay will spearhead a group of players who promise to compete in every match, a squad capable of emerging as one of the tournament’s surprise packages - especially now that the expanded 48-team format has opened the door wider than ever. Alongside him, Aston Villa’s John McGinn will carry much of the nation’s expectations on his shoulders.
Fresh from starring in Hearts’ run to the brink of the Scottish Premiership title, striker Lawrence Shankland is also a name to watch closely.
Scotland is captained by the veteran fullback Andy Robertson, who will arrive at the World Cup after calling time on his glittering, nine-year spell with Premier League giants Liverpool. In goal, meanwhile, the Scots will also rely on a seasoned campaigner: 43-year-old Hearts keeper Craig Gordon.
Drawn in Group C, Scotland will face Brazil, Haiti and Morocco in the round-robin stage in North America.
