Zavier Gozo, the American gem who will move to Europe this summer
The 19-year-old, who currently plays for Real Salt Lake, has a strong chance of moving to European football.
The project of sending more MLS players to Europe continues to gather momentum, and another American talent now appears close to making the move across the Atlantic. Zavier Gozo has been attracting interest from several European clubs for months, and this summer could mark his departure.
Despite growing expectations, Gozo has made it clear that his priority is to finish the season strongly with Real Salt Lake, the club where he began his career. At the same time, he has openly acknowledged his ambition to move to Europe in the upcoming transfer window.
“I want to continue with Real Salt Lake for the next two months, and in the next summer window I would obviously like to go to Europe. It’s been my dream forever, and I think it’s the right time to take that step,” the young American said in an interview with Major League Soccer.
From his coaches to his teammates, Gozo has earned widespread respect, with his performances drawing praise from both fans and neutrals alike.
So far, he has played just under 3,000 minutes for Real Salt Lake, scoring six goals and providing seven assists. Those numbers place him among the most productive young players in terms of goal involvement.
In most matches, his ratings on performance-based platforms exceed 7.5, a level rarely maintained by players of his age, further underlining his consistency and impact.
