Luis Enrique expected to rotate for Levante midday meeting
Bravo is expected to return at the Ciutat de València, while Mascherano and Alves, who both missed the midweek Copa del Rey tie against Valencia, are set to return.
A fixture pile-up for Barça in January – a total of nine matches, resulting in eight wins and a draw – will force Luis Enrique into making changes for their upcoming game away to Levante (Sunday, 12:00 CET).
The eligibility of both Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal in January following the FIFA ban was welcomed by the Barça coach, particularly in view of the versatility of both players. The game at the Ciutat de València could see the return of Claudio Bravo in the culé goal, while Mascherano and Dani Alves, who were both left out for Barcelona’s 7-0 thumping of Valencia in the first-leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals, are set to return. Luis Enrique also chose to rest Rakitic and Iniesta in the cup competition.
The only department that is set to remain unchanged is in attack with Barcelona’s deadly trident.
