Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Jesé Rodríguez delivered the goals for Real Madrid, who had few problems beating Sevilla 4-0 at the Bernabéu tonight.
Cristiano missed a second-half penalty only to make amends moments later with Los Blancos' second, while Zinedine Zidane's side had Keylor Navas to thank for maintaining a clean sheet - the Costa Rican keeper was in fine form, particularly in denying Kevin Gameiro, Sevilla's biggest threat on the night, from the spot in the opening 45.
Gareth Bale, meanwhile, established a new LaLiga record with his 65th minute tap-in - bringing his total top-flight tally to 43, and overtaking the figure set by Gary Lineker with Barcelona in the late 1980s to become the British player to have scored the most league goals in Spain.
