Bale outstrips Lineker to become LaLiga's all-time top British scorer
The 'Cardiff Express' brought up his 43rd league goal against Sevilla, to overtake the figure set by Gary Lineker over 20 years ago with Barça.

It wasn't his most spectacular goal - far from it, but Gareth Bale's 65th-minute tap-in against Sevilla this evening makes him the top British goal scorer ever to have played in the Spanish top flight. Bale has scored 43 goals in 76 games to leave the previous record holder Gary Lineker in his wake. Lineker reached 42 goals in 103 games with Barcelona between 1986 and 1989.
