Isco sends a message to the club: "I want to stay here"
Madrid are planning to put the midfielder on the market in the summer but Isco has other ideas: "I have two years left on my contract and I want to complete them".Real Madrid v. Fuenlabrada live online
Isco wants to stay at Real Madrid and has sent a message via his inner circle: “I have two years left on my contract (until 2018) and I want to complete them”. Madrid have not addressed the issue of his future , either to the player or his agent, but AS understands that the idea is to offload the midfielder, together with James this summer. The writing was on the wall for Isco following his sluggish performance in the derby and then his apathy against Levante and tantrums on the bench in the Las Palmas match. The powers that be at the Bernabéu feel that he is not performing to the same level as in previous years. Although the stats contradict that belief: this season he has scored four and set up 12 for his team mates in 2,153 minutes, compared to last season when he scored six, assisted another 14 in 3,756 minutes on-field.
Despite his recent behaviour, the player insists that he will fight to win back the coach's confidence (he was a starter in the first seven games and rested against Roma). He has enough motives to bring out the best in himself - on the one hand to prove that his future is at the Bernabéu and also to convince Del Bosque that he has an important role to play with Spain at EURO 2016.
Several clubs would jump at the chance to sign him this summer - Juventus would gladly fork out 30 million euros and Manchester City are also interested even though the player rejected their offer last summer as well as one from Pep Guardiola's Bayern. He's only interested in proving himself at Madrid where he is keen to continue… if they let him.
