Guti mocks Barcelona on Twitter

Never one to miss an opportunity to stir the pot whenever Barcelona suffer a setback, Guti was quick to rub salt in the Catalans’ wounds last night following their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Real Sociedad. The former Real Madrid midfielder took to social media right after the full time whistle was blown at Anoeta and, following in the footsteps of avid Twitter user Gerard Piqué, posted a tweet composed entirely of emoticons.

The Madrid native’s simple message consisted of the famous ‘smiling poo’ emoji followed by three snoring icons, perhaps in reference to a belief held by many in Spain that Los Culés have a tendency to lose the run of themselves when results don’t go their way.
