"Cristiano deserves a night like this, he gives his all for the club"

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos reflected on Tuesday's comeback against Wolfsburg in which Zidane's turned around a two-goal deficit to put them in Friday's semi-final draw.

The fans. They were just incredible right from the first minute to the last and we have to thank them for their support tonight. They are our twelvth man and that affection and support, the confidence they give us is fundamental. Grounds like this this doen't exist anywhere else and especially when the supporters are cheering us on. The team gave tgheir heart and soul out there and the fans deserved it after the display we put in in Germany.

Cristiano. Despite having had a few dry spells when the goals haven't gone in for him, he is always important for us as a goal scorer and as out icon. Cris deserved a magical night like this. We need him, he gives everything for the Madrid badge, he's spent many years showing that's he's the No.1 and when he's on song, you can really tell.

Complicated comeback. Who said it was going to be easy? Some people thought that it wasn't possible and it's very difficult to always maintain the same intensity but we managed to pace the game well. In the second half we had to keep a sense of calm. It's in the important moments when you have to keep calm. I think some people misinterpreted my words when I spoke of calm; it's not that we don't need patience, character or desire too, but the intensity always has to be there.

The best Ramos. You feel good and satisfied when things turn out well. I've tried to play to my best level. It's been a complicated season for me, I've played a lot of games in pain and I need a night like this.

Rivals in the semi-finals. Apart from City, two of the other sides are Soanish and I'm not going to get into that. We've done what we set out to do and everyone can worry about themselves.
