REAL MADRIDMadrid to appeal against booking mistakenly handed to DaniloClos Gómez showed the full-back a yellow card for a foul which Casemiro committed.Alvaro de la RosaAlvaroDlaRosaASUpdate: Apr 21st, 2016 15:54 EDTJAVIER GANDULDIARIO ASReal Madrid have presented an appeal which they hope will retract the booking handed to Danilo in last night's game against Villarreal. Match official Carlos Clos Gómez wrongly punished the full-back for a foul which Casemiro committed. In his match report, the referee noted: "Danilo was booked for the following motive: Bringing down an opponent whilst contesting the ball". Casemiro was the culprit, not Danilo; the player even contested the decision with the referee in the player's tunnel after the game.According to AS' refereeing expect Urizar Azpitarte, Madrid are expected to be successful with their appeal and the booking with be quashed. In such a scenario Casemiro wouldn't be affected, as he was booked on 85 minutes and completes a cycle of five yellow cards meaning he is already suspended for Saturday's game at Rayo Vallecano.Tagged in:CompetitionsSportsDaniloVillarreal CFReal MadridLa LigaFirst divisionFootball leaguesFootballTeamsSporting organisations
