Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri declared today that Álvaro Morata, who is deliberating whether to stay in Italy or go back to Real Madrid, "needs to stay a few years" with the Turin-based club.

"He's still only a young lad. Morata needs to stay on a few years more at Juventus because he needs time to grow", Allegri said in an interview with Italian television programme Rai Uno Mattina.

The Juventus coach, the first Italian to win consecutive league and Cup doubles in Serie A (Scudetto and Coppa Italia in 2015 and 2016), also spoke about Paulo Dybala's situation, and feels the Argentine has "qualities to get even better".

"At the start, Dybala wasn't ready to show what he showed later that he's capable of but he's got the qualities to get even better", he said.

When asked about his decision to prohibit Dybala from representing Argentina at this summer's Olympic Games, Allegri answered with a wry smile: "It's hot in America - it's better if we let him go on holiday".

And when quizzed about possible summer reinforcements, Allegri said that there "are very players around" who could improve the squad he has.

"There are very few players in Europe who could improve the squad we already have and I'm sure that the club will do what it can to get them. [Bosnian midfielder, Miralem] Pjanic? It's the clubs who players on the market; talking about players from other clubs makes no sense", he said.
