Barcelona are reportedly keen on securing the services of Chelsea full-back César Azpilicueta as they look to replace the outgoing Dani Alves.

Arsenal's Héctor Bellerín, who began his career in the Barça youth system, has been the player most heavily linked with a switch to the Camp Nou to cover right-back Alves' departure.

But with the Gunners preparing to offer Bellerín a new deal to keep him in North London, the Telegraph says Azpilicueta could now be in the frame for a Barça swoop.

The 26-year-old, also rumoured to be interesting Athletic Club, is under contract at Chelsea until 2019 and in March spoke of his desire to stay at the Premier League outfit.

However, he indicated that he'd be open to a move if it represented a step-up, explaining: "If I have to leave it would be for a club where I could develop even more than at Chelsea."
