2016 FIFA Club World Cup draw to take place next week

The draw will be streamed live on FIFA.com.

The official draw for the 2016 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan, this year sponsored by Alibaba E-Auto, will take place next Wednesday, 21st September at 11.00 local time (CET), at FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich.

The four teams already qualified for the competition are: Auckland City FC of New Zealand (OFC Champions League winners); Club América of Mexico (CONCACAF Champions League winners); Real Madrid of Spain (UEFA Champions League winners); and Atlético Nacional of Colombia (Copa Libertadores winners).

The winners of this year’s AFC Champions League and CAF Champions League, as well as a club from Japan’s J-League representing the host nation, will also compete.

This year’s competition will be the 13th edition of the Cup and will take place between the 8th-18th December in Yokohama and Osaka, Japan.
