Zidane names Real Madrid squad for Villarreal match
Zidane has decided to rest Luka Modric and hasn't included him in his squad of 19 players for this Wednesday's Liga Santander match against Villarreal at the Bernabéu, with kick-off at 20:00 CEST.
The Croatian midfielder has played the full 90 minutes in Real Madrid's last two matches, against Espanyol and Sporting Lisbon. His position in the midfield will likely be occupied by Kovacic.
Casemiro and Pepe also out injured
Zidane will also need alternatives for Casemiro and Pepe, both out injured. Both took knocks against Espanyol on Sunday and haven't fully recovered
As expected Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale are back in the squad after flu and a knock respectively.
