One off matching consecutive draws record

Real Madrid's stalemate with Eibar on Sunday saw them relinquish top spot in LaLiga - and move to within one game of equalling their club record for straight league draws. Los Blancos have been held in four Primera División matches on the trot on a quartet of previous occasions: in the 1947/48, 1968/69, 1969/70 and 2006/07 seasons.

Injuries starting to mount up...

With Luka Modric, Marcelo, Casemiro and Fabio Coentrao already crocked ahead of Real's weekend league clash, James Rodríguez pulled up with a calf problem in the warm-up before Raphael Varane (thigh) and Karim Benzema (knee) came off at half time with complaints. James is to be assessed by Colombia's medical staff and appears likely to miss Los Cafeteros' World Cup upcoming qualifiers, with France's Varane also looking set to sit out international week.

Guti bites back at tweeters

After Barcelona's defeat to Celta Vigo on Sunday evening, former Real Madrid midfielder José María Gutiérrez, better known as Guti, took a swipe back at Barça-supporting Twitter users who had taunted him in the wake of Los Merengues' result against Eibar earlier in the day. The full story is here.

Bale reaches half century in LaLiga

Gareth Bale was among the few bright spots from Real's display at the Bernabéu, the Welshman's first-half equaliser cancelling out Fran Rico's early opener. And having already overtaken Gary Lineker as the highest-scoring Brit in LaLiga in March, Sunday's strike brought up another league landmark for the 27-year-old: he now has 50 goals in the division.

Zidane level-pegging with Rafa after seven games

Having begun the season with four LaLiga wins from four, weeks 5, 6 and 7 have seen Zinedine Zidane's Madrid forced to settle for a share of the spoils each time - meaning they now have the same league record as at the same stage of last term under Rafa Benítez. There's more on that here.
