James Rodríguez sends message to Real Madrid fans on return
The Colombian midfielder has returned to Spain after traveling to be with his international colleagues but without playing has sent a positive message to his many fans.
After travelling 22,363 kilometres in six days, the result of which was no game time as he continued his recovery, James Rodríguez has returned to Madrid to start work again with his club.
As well as getting back to full fitness James faces another battle - proving to Zidane, his teammates and the fans that he is worthy of a starting place in the side that has been going through a poor run of results. His case will be helped with the current injury list at the Bernabéu.
With stories about death threats and summer transfers still potentially in the back of his mind fans will be hoping he can return fully concentrated on the job in hand. And if his recent message to his followers is anything to go by, it certainly seems that this is the case. Below the image of him training he says "working to come back better"
