The old was good, the new is better

Jürgen Klopp was clear about how he feels about being manager of Liverpool FC and the incredible atmosphere that he is experiencing at home games, even more so since the increase in capacity through the development of the main stand at Anfield.

Speaking with goal.com and posted on the Facebook page of new club sponsors New Balance the German was able to get his emotions about the atmosphere across:

“It’s not easy to describe because we all loved the old Anfield," he started. “When I first came here, I don’t think they had already started with the new stand," referencing a friendly with Dortmund. "Being here in the moment when the new stand is open, I have said a few times, I really am, obviously, a real lucky bastard. I couldn’t imagine how good it will be.

The team has to help create the atmosphere

Klopp continued on the improved environment and the importance of what the team does on the pitch:

“The atmosphere is better than before. It depends a little bit on our performance but we are quite confident we can have a few nice atmospheres here over the next few years.

“For me and for the players, it is a big honour working for this club, and it is a big pleasure playing in this stadium where all these fantastic guys have celebrated their performances and games.”

Enjoy the charismatic manager in full thanks to goal.com and New Balance as he goes on to talkk about pre-season work, developing the team further and he also answers some fan questions too.
