Zidane has 14 names in mind for his starting XI at Camp Nou

Zinedine Zidane has 14 players in mind to select his starting XI for Saturday's clash with Barcelona at Camp Nou. The only two areas where the coach has his doubts - in central defence and in midfield.

Keylor Navas.

Games played: 11. Mins: 990. Goals conceded: 12.  The Costa Rican is Zidane's first choice keeper, even though since his return he has yet to recapture the sort of form he showed last season. He has only kept one clean sheet - against Atlético.

Carvajal

Games played: 16. Mins: 1,404. Goals : 1. He has made the right-back slot his own. He has only missed four game (one of them through suspension). He has taken part in 78% of the total minutes played and scored one goal.

Ramos

Games played: 11. Mins: 1,002 Goals : 3. The captain has played a part in the last two games since returning from a knee sprain injury. In the Sporting Gijón match, it was evident that he lacks rhythm but he will be bossing the back four against Barcelona.

Pepe

Games played: 9. Mins: 744. Gol: 1. He returned to first team action on Saturday after recovering from a Grade II hamstring tear. Whether he is given the nod or not depends on how Varane is.

Varane

Games played: 16. Mins: 1,425. Goals: 3. Last week he complained of discmfort to his right knee, which he was operated on in 2013; the pains forced him to stop. We'll see how he progresses over the next few days.

Nacho

Games played: 9. Mins: 741. Goals: 1. He's performed to a good level both in central defence and at left-back. He has started the last four league games but looks unlikely to start against Barcelona.

Marcelo

Games played: 14. Min: 1,154. Goals: 1. Like Carvajal, he had to rest against Sporting. He had ended the Champions League match in Lisbon with twinges, but is expected to be in the starting XI at Camp Nou.

Kovacic

Games played: 16. Mins: 1,143. Goals : 1. He has carved out a place for himself in midfield following the injuries to Kroos and Casemiro. He's been playing at a high level and only the niggling pains which he picked up in Saturday's game could stop him from entering the team at Camp Nou.

Modric

Games played: 11. Mins: 844. Goals: 1. One of the players who is certain to start. The Croatian midfielder underwent surgery on his left knee on 2 October but has made a complete recovery and has played the full 90 minutes of the last three matches without problems.

Isco

Games played: 13. Mins: 742. Goals: 2. His exhibition display at the Calderón earned him a starting place. Zizou only handed him a nine-minute run-out on Saturday to reserve him. He will start.

Casemiro

Games played: 5. Mins: 409. Goals: 0. He was on the bench against Sporting, but wasn't risekd. He will play the mid-week Cup return leg against Cultural -  his first outing after being sidelined for two months. He is not match-fit and won't feature at Camp Nou.

Cristiano

Games played: 15. Mins: 1,301. Goals: 12. He goes into El Clásico in his best moment of form so far this season. He's scored five in the last two league games. He has put eight past Barça in total at their stadium...

Benzema

Games played: 16. Mins: 952. Goals: 6. With Bale and Morata out, he will start up-front at Camp Nou. He was given the whistkling treatment by the Bernabéu last weekend. He is in one the worst moments since he joined Madrid.

Lucas

Games played: 18: Mins: 803. Goals: 1. He's the favourite to step into Bale's role, according to a recent AS.com poll, gaining 42% of the votes. He hasn't disappointed whenever he has played.
