Manchester United have now gone eight league games unbeaten and are sixth in the Premier League, 13 points behind leaders Chelsea, but José Mourinho is eyeing the January transfer window to make some adjustments to his squad.
Lindelöf and Semedo on United's wishlist
According to Portuguese daily A Bola, Victor Lindelöf and Nélson Semedo are on the verge of transfer to Old Trafford.
A Bola reports that Benfica president Luís Filipe Vieira is in Manchester negotiating deals for the 22-year-old Sweden central defender and the 23-year-old Portugal right back.
Lindelöf to cost 45 million euros up front
Lindelöf is valued by Benfica at 45 million euros, which would make him the most expensive player to be transferred from the Portuguese giants in history. A Bola also says that the end fee for the Sweden international could rise to 60 million euros with add-ons.
In Semedo’s case, Vieira is not keen on letting the player move in January if Lindelöf moves to the Premier League, but a deal is being struck for the full back to become a United player and remain on loan at Benfica until the end of the season, according to A Bola, which does not mention a fee.
