Rudy Gestede completed a 7 million euro move to Middlesbrough from Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Pair to move on

The 28-year-old Benin international, who spent time at Cardiff and Blackburn Rovers before joining Villa in 2015, signed a three-year contract with Boro. His arrival will almost certainly signal the departures of Jordan Rhodes and David Nugent, who haven't been able to keep the side from dicing with the relegation place where they hover just four points above the danger zone.

“Boro have completed the signing of Rudy Gestede from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee” a Middlesbrough statement read.
