Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor keen on Sevilla misfit Ganso
Turkey's Süper Lig could be an escape route for the unsettled Brazilian midfielder, who is left with few options after the team were eliminated from the Copa del Rey.
Diminishing options
Paulo Henrique Ganso is probably the player who will be affected the most by Sevilla's elimination from the Copa del Rey. The Brazilian didn't have his best day at the Santiago Bernabéu in the first leg and was left out of the squad for Sunday's league clash against the leaders. The player and club are discussing a possible solution to the situation and Ganso could well leave during the winter transfer window with Turkey being one of the potential destinations.
Süper Lig interest
Sevilla have received two offers for Ganso, from Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe according to Turkish daily Akşam, who report that Trabzonspor have already reached a verbal agreement with the player, with Fenerbahçe entering at the eleventh hour in a bid to scupper the move.
Cheeky backheel
Sevilla paid São Paulo 9.5 million euros for Ganso last summer following a lengthy period of negotiations with the third party company which held part of the player's economic rights. The midfielder has failed to live up to expectation at his new club - primarily because he has struggled to adapt to the rhythm of the Spanish game but he has shown flashs of promise, such as the backheel assist against Alavés in Week 7 which will go down as one of the best moves of the season.
