Eden Hazard has revealed that Chelsea are a harder-working team under Antonio Conte than the they were with Jose Mourinho as coach.

The Blues, currently nine points clear at the top of the Premier League and red-hot favourites to pick up the title, have had a drastic turn in fortunes after a disastrous campaign in 2015/16 saw the west London side finish 10th in the table.

Portuguese manager Mourinho was sacked from the club in the middle of last season after a poor run of results and allegedly losing the faith of the dressing room. Since Conte took over this summer, however, Chelsea have been a team transformed, and now star midfielder Hazard has shed light on some of the reason behind the change of luck.

"We do more with Conte"

"In tactics and training we do more with Conte," the Belgian told The Mirror, making clear that in fact luck has nothing to do with it.

“We work a lot of tactical positions and we know exactly what we have to do on the pitch, where I have to go and where the defenders have to go,” he continued.

"With Mourinho, he put in a system but we didn't work lots. We know what to do because we play football, but maybe the automatisms were a little bit different.
