Georgios Samaras set for Real Zaragoza medical on Tuesday
Zaragoza have confirmed they have agreed a deal with striker Samaras, with the ex-Man City and Celtic man to sign until the end of the season.
Former Manchester City and Celtic striker Georgios Samaras has agreed terms with Real Zaragoza and is due to complete a move to the Spanish Segunda División club.
Samaras to have medical in Zaragoza on Tuesday
In a statement on Monday, Zaragoza said they had reached a deal "in principle" with Samaras, subject to the ex-Greece international completing a medical.
A free agent since North American Soccer League side Rayo OKC went bust in January, he is to put pen to paper with Los Maños until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old is scheduled to arrive in Spain on Tuesday afternoon, having opted to sign for Zaragoza despite late interest from NASL outfit New York Cosmos.
Samaras, who has also had spells at Heerenveen, West Bromwich Albion and Al-Hilal, is then expected to be unveiled at La Romareda at 12:00 CET on Wednesday.
Zaragoza out to end four-year top-flight absence
Zaragoza, who last played in Primera División in the 2012/13 season, currently sit 12th in the second tier, four points off the promotion play-off places.
