NFL tragedy: Moses and his family perish in house fire
The former Dolphins player died at approximately 6am on Sunday morning in a blaze at his own home. The fire also claimed the lives of his wife and daughter.

Former Miami Dolphins outside linebacker Quentin Moses lost his life in a fire at his home in Monroe Georgia on Sunday morning. His wife and daughter also perished in the blaze.

Officials believe the fire started at approximately 6:00 hours EST on Sunday morning. The bodies of his wife Andria Godard, 31, and his 10-year-old daughter Jasmine were also found at the scene.

Authorities says that Moses, 33, who had been working as assistant coach at the Reinhardt University for the last five season, was discovered unconscious when firemen entered the house, and he died later at a nearby hospital.
Time in Miami
Moses was chosen by Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 2007 draft but he never went on to play for them. The Dolphins hired him at the start of the 2007 campaign, and in four seasons for the team, registering 3.5 sacks and 35 tackles.
