Real Madrid make it 48 games in a row hitting the target

Two goals from Zidane's men against Betis tonight saw them extend their goal-scoring run. The last time they drew a blank was on 24 April 2016 against Man City.

Real Madrid extended their run to 48 games in a row scoring one or more goals, with a brace tonight against Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabéu. The last time Zidane's side drew a blank was on 24 April 2016 against Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. Their current run includes five games from last season and 42 from the current campaign, with their record reading: 33 wins, 11 draws and three defeats.

In Tuesday's Champions League last 16 tie away to Napoli, Madrid overtook the 46-game record held by Benfica between 8 December 1963 and 10 January 1965. That said, Los Blancos still find themselves some distance behind the 63 matches reached by Bayern Munich in the 2012-13 season.

The Bernabeu tonight witnessed Real Madrid having to come from behind to overcome the Andalusian outfit in a tightly fought contests with maximum points propelling Zidane's men back to the summit of the table.
