After scoring as a substitute in Spain's 4-1 win over Israel on Friday, Real Madrid's Isco moved to play down recent speculation linking him with Barcelona.
The 24-year-old midfielder was also full of praise for La Roja following a victory that saw them hold on to top spot in World Cup qualifying Group G.
"Now there's less football, the media have to make things up"
Future: "As players we're susceptible to rumours. We're used to it and now that there's less football with the international break, some sections of the media have to make things up."
Win over Israel: "We put in a good performance; it was important that we did just that to ensure we stayed top of the group. The team were phenomenal."
Making the most of his Spain game time: "It's great to be here; there's a lot of competition for places, but if I'm here it's to contribute and help in any way I can."
Group leaders: "[We're] happy with how things are going, but we have to keep on looking ahead and keep this up. We have a really balanced and complete team."
