The video, of course, went viral on social media, and, of course, there were many outraged complaints about what the world of football is coming to. But to counter that, the lad involved, just 11 years old, apologised straight away, and admitted he'd made a mistake.

The Barcelona coaches also said sorry to the Real Madrid coaches and players, and after the match the Madrid coaches took photos of themselves with the Barça technical staff and posted them on social media, with comments such as: "Rivalry on the pitch, our friendship carries on after" and "People are more important than team colours. Today it was our turn, next time it'll be them, maximum respect to a great coach and an even better person".
