Mathieu out for El Clásico, Arda trains but without the all clear
The defender did not train with the group but Arda Turan did, albeit without medical clearance while Carbonell, Aleña and Kaptoum also trained with the group.
Barcelona returned to training after being given the day off by Luis Enrique after being knocked out of the Champions League on Wednesday night by Juventus. The session took place at the Tito Vilanova training ground consisted of all the players at Luis Enrique's disposal aside from Jeremy Mathieu. The French defender abandoned the exercises after a couple of minutes. Arda Turan did train with the group but is yet to get the all clear from the training staff. Alongside the more senior players were Carbonell, Aleña and Kaptoum.
Luis Enrique and his team chatted for a half an hour before the training session where they discussed the game and recieved their orders for the game on Sunday. They also discusses the biggest decision and one that is said to be coming soon on whether Neymar will be cleared to play after being suspended for a sending off against Malaga. The Brazilian took to the field alongside Lionel Messi, Gerard Piqué, Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba.
Luis Enrique will give his squad list on Saturday, which will dissipate any doubts surrounding who is and is not available for the game on Sunday as they travel to Madrid first thing on Sunday morning.
