Cristiano Ronaldo is one goal shy of scoring 400 in all competitions for Real Madrid. Although some sources say he has already reached that total, a goal Ronaldo was involved in in Anoeta a few years ago was officially accredited to Pepe after the striker’s shot hit the defender on the back and went in.

Ronaldo enjoys playing against Sevilla

In the Bernabéu Ronaldo has the opportunity to reach a quadruple century of goals for the club against his favourite victim. The Portuguese has scored 23 goals in 16 games against Sevilla in all competitions and has bagged 10 of his last 12 goals in Madrid, including Champions League hat-tricks against Bayern and Atlético.

Madrid can beat Bayern's record in the Bernabéu

Meanwhile Real Madrid are on the cusp of another club record after Isco’s goal in the Calderón ensured the side matched Bayern’s record of scoring in 61 consecutive matches, set by the Bavarian giants under Pep Guardiola between 2103 and 2014.

Madrid’s recent record against Sevilla is cause for local optimism. Zinedine Zidane’s side have scored against the Andalusians in each of their past 12 meetings, hitting 36 in total. Sunday’s visitors last kept a clean sheet against Madrid in September 2012 in a 1-0 victory in the Sánchez Pizjuán. At home, Real have not been shut out by Sevilla since a 0-1 defeat in December 2004.

Since the Frenchman took over at the Bernabéu his side have failed to score on just three occasions in 83 matches and average 2.7 goals per game during their 61-fixture scoring run.
