James Collins, Gareth Bale's teammate with the Welsh national side, spoke to the Real Madrid player recently and he said he hoped Bale could make the final and all signs seem to point in the direction that that will be the case. Bale has been out injured with a calf problem, which might be seen as the result of a longer term ankle injury that disrupted his entire season.

Bale's recovery going well

Speaking to Betway Insider, Collins says he spoke to Bale last summer about the possibility of him representing Real Madrid in the Champions League final in his hometown of Cardiff. "I talked to him recently and he seems to be recovering well and he has a good chance of playing the final, which is great for him," Collins said.

In addition to confirming Bale's recovery process is well under way, he also fears that Bale will not play in the Premier League again. "I would really like to see him returning, but I don't think it will happen because he is very happy in Spain and is really admired by fans of Real Madrid."
