Piqué fit to face Eibar, Mascherano still sidelined
Gerard Piqué will be available to Luis Enrique as Barça face Eibar on Sunday needing a win to keep their LaLiga Santander title hopes alive.
Gerard Piqué is returning to full fitness, bit by bit, after a nasty bout of gastroenteritis.
The illness was severe enough for Piqué to be admitted to Vall d'Hebrón hospital on the outskirts of Barcelona, and was not able to take part in training until this week.
Piqué rejoined the Barça squad for full training on Friday, and could start at Camp Nou on Sunday evening, in the last match of the LaLiga season.
Javier Mascherano has not recovered from the hamstring injury he suffered in the warm-up before Barcelona's victory over Las Palmas. He will not feature against Eibar, and is a doubt for the Copa del Rey final against Alavéz on the 27th May.
Barcelona are three points behind Real Madrid in the title race. Luis Enrique's team will need to beat Eibar on Sunday, and hope that Madrid fall to a defeat at Málaga.
