Alves: "I told Dybala if he wants to improve, he needs to leave Juventus"
The wing back admitted to giving Dybala advice that might alienate himself from teammates and Juventus fans.
Dani Alves has proven once again that he has no qualms speaking his mind. In an interview with Brazilian publications Esporte Interativo, the wing-back confessed to giving Paulo Dybala advice that could alienate some of his Juventus teammates and fans.
Dybala needs to leave Juventus to maximise potential
The Brazilian said, "Dybala is a gem that will bear fruits. We have spoken many times and one day, I don't remember when, I told him he had to leave Juventus to improve even more".
The player, who finishes his contract in 2018, also reaffirmed his intention to play in England at some point in his career, "someday I will play there. When? Who knows, we will see". He also explained why he left Barcelona and decided upon Juventus as his next destination, "for many years, I rejected offers from the Premier League because I felt I had to give Serie A a go. In England, there is an overriding culture of defending and to play there you have to be able to defend well"
