LaLiga's Eibar to be represented at the Highland Games
Representatives from the Basque club will participate in events at the Loch Lomond (Scotland) Highland Games in Balloch on July 15.
Eibar president and the Highland Games
The club held a press conference this morning to confirm their active participation in the initiative with president, Amaia Gorostiza affirming that this involvement is yet another example of the club's commitment support activities which are not necessarily football-related. The mayor of Eibar, Alberto Albistegui, expressed his thanks to Eskozia La Brava for their participation, whilst Koldo Ayuso, a member of the supporters' group added that a documentary will also be made relating to the imminent trip to Scotland.
Special relationship with Scotland
There has been a long-term special relationship between Eibar and Scotland with the Eskozia la Brava (Scotland the Brave) supporters group anxious to forge links between the Basque town and Scottish football supporters. In 2015 Glasgow Celtic were guests of honour at Ipurua to commemorate the club's 75th anniversary with over 1.000 Celtic fans making the trip to Eibar.
