Mendes speeds up talks with Bayern to avoid James going to the USA for preseason
The Portuguese agent of James Rodriguez has been in intensive talks with Bayern over the last couple of days as Dani Ceballos signature cements his future.
Jorge Mendes, James Rodriguez' agent, has intensified negotiations with Bayern Munich to help seal his client's exit from Real Madrid. They are trying to prevent an unecessary trip to the USA with the team where Real Madrid will begin their preseason. The conversations between the two negotiating parties took place deep into last night and resumed on Tuesday morning.
There are two options for the move: one is a transfer for the €70 million that Real Madrid are asking for having bought the Colombian for €80 million in 2014 and the other option is a year-long loan deal. In the latter option, Bayern would take care of James' salary and they would pay a fee for the number 10's services.
If the deal was to happen, James would be reunited with his first coach of Real Madrid and arguably the one he had the best relationship with. With Ancelotti on the bench for Real Madrid, James played in 46 official games, scored 17 goals and had 18 assist. His 2015-16 numbers decreased with just 32 games played with eight goals and 10 assists and his 2015-16 numbers remained low with 33 games played, 11 goals and 13 assists.
AS already declared James' desire for a transfer to be sped up. The Colombian is keen to have his situation resolved having suffered a frustrating year in Madrid and the signing of Dani Ceballos has proven to James that his future lies away from the Bernabeu.
