Official: Dani Ceballos signs for Real Madrid
Both Real Betis and Real Madrid confirmed on Friday morning that the Spanish midfielder has signed for Los Blancos with a contract for six years.

'Joventicos' not 'Galacticos' for Real Madrid
Ceballos is the fifth addition to Zinedine Zidane's playing staff this summer following the signing of Theo Hernández from Atlético Madrid and the return from loan of Jesús Vallejo, Marcos Llorente and Borja Mayoral.
As anticipated by AS last Sunday, the Sevillian star - who was player of the tournament at the recent U-21 European Championships - underwent his medical for Los Blancos on Monday, Betis giving authorisation for this to take place. The player had already made his intentions for the move clear and the deal was only awaiting agreement between the two clubs. On Friday that was reached.
Madrid pay over Betis clause
The deal itself is said to be worth 17 million euros which will be paid in two instalments (an initial payment of 10 million and the remainder over the coming six months). This is two million over what Betis had stipulated in the 15 million buyout clause for the player. Ceballos will be presented to press and fans on 20 July before flying out to the United States to join up with the squad as their preparations for a busy start to the season gathers pace.
Barça, Atleti and Juve miss out
This deal closes the transfer saga that began way back in May when we reported that the Liga champions were interested in the creative Spaniard. Since then there has been much talk and other clubs - including Barcelona, Atlético and Juventus - have all thrown their hats into the ring to sign the promising youngster. Now it's over.
