AC Milan's revolution to take Europe by storm
The almost 200 million euro investment to date has turned heads around the footballing continent and Montella can now call upon eight new players with more to come.
The new Chinese ownership at AC Milan have wasted no time in moving on their idea to return the Italian giants to their seat at the top table of European football once again. Having already spent almost 200 million euros - and more signings expected - manager Vincenzo Montella could start the 2017/18 season with an almost unrecognisable team to that which finished the previous campaign.
Milan outspending Premier League
Even the big spenders of the Premier League this summer, Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton have all been busy so far, cannot match the 189.5 million euros that the Rossoneri have already invested. A potential XI based on the current squad could conceivably see only Donnarumma, Suso and Bonaventura keep their places. Have a look at the new recruits. Do they really have a chance of mixing it with Europe's elite as soon as this coming season? Maybe it's a blessing that they are in the Europa League to bed everyone in.
