Paris Saint-Germain have a deal with Barcelona's Neymar, reports L'Equipe, with the Ligue 1 club now seeking to negotiate with Los Azulgranas over his fee.

PSG out to avoid income tax being added to 222m

The newspaper says PSG are ready to stump up his 222m-euro buy-out figure, but are out to come to an agreement with Barça to avoid having to pay extra in taxes.

Were the Parisians to unilaterally trigger Neymar's release clause, they would have to give the money to the player, to be deposited by him - a transaction that would be viewed by the tax authorities as an advance payment to a future employee.

PSG would therefore incur income tax on the figure.

That could push the ex-Santos star's price tag up even further to 300m euros, L'Equipe says - on top of reported annual wages of 30m euros and a signing-on fee.

As a result, PSG are said to be after an agreement with Barcelona that would see them hand the amount straight to the Catalan club.

Only "false suspense" over Neymar deal - Le Parisien

Meanwhile, fellow French publication Le Parisien has declared that it has become a question of when - not if - Neymar seals his switch to the Parc des Princes.

Quoting a source close to the PSG board, the publication reveals that there is now only "false suspense" over the completion of the stunning transfer.
