Ander Herrera: "Real Madrid are the best team in the world"
The Manchester United midfielder said it was a fair result and that Real Madrid are the best team in the world along with tagging them as favourites for the Champions League.
Manchester United's Spanish midfielder, Ander Herrera, admitted on Tuesday that Real Madrid were far "superior" to United and that Zidane's side are "the best team in the world." He did, however, make sure to point out that it was settled by the finer details of the game including a miss by Marcus Rashford and the offside goal from Casemiro.
"I think it's a fair defeat. They were better than us overall. However I still believe that it was decided on the smaller details. We missed that Rashford chance and their first goal was offside. After that goal, they settled and started to player better," he told Bein Sports after the game.
"In the second half, Isco's goal freed us up. That was when we played our best football. We had chances including the goal and that Rashford chance. They are the best team in the world and we have to improve," he said.
Herrera also said that he believes Real Madrid are the favourites to win the Champions League this year.
